Meet the founders of bingiza foundation

Executive Director/ Founder - Farai Sylvia Liwewe

Farai Sylvia Liwewe was born on 24th March, 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies and a minor in Sociology from the University of Zambia. She is an activist with a demonstrated history of driving Sustainable Development Goals on inclusive and quality education and gender equality. She has over 7 years of leadership experience focusing on advocacy, enhancement of education and economic empowerment.

Deputy Executive Director - Chikondi Katherine Liwewe

Chikondi Katherine Liwewe was born 12th May, 1995. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Sociology from the University of Zambia. She is currently working within the banking sector in Zambia. She is an intersectional feminist who works with marginalized women through various channels and other NGOs within the country.

Director of Finance - Suwilanji Nachembe

Suwilanji Nachembe was born on 15th April, 1996. She holds a Professional qualification in CIMA from the Zambia Centre of Accountancy Studies. She is currently working as an accountant within the Civil Service. She has experience in entrepreneurship and management of funds.

 

Secretary General - Chileshe Sherkaina Chiwala

Chileshe Sherkaina Chiwala was born 25th june٫2004. She obtained a full grade 12 certificate in 2021 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from the National Institute of Public Administration(NIPA). She is passionate about addressing teenage pregnancies and child marriages through training in life and livelihood skills of Vulnerable Adolescent Girls and Young Women.

 

Director of Programs and Resource Mobilisation - Meanna Mbuzi

Born 18th October, 1996 Meanna Mbuzi is an Environmental Education graduate from The University of Zambia. She has spent the last 7 years working and volunteering with organisations on projects and programs advocating for SRHR, child and womens rights and most recently disability rights and is always looking for an environmentally sustainable angle to solutions.

 

Emmanuel Chipofya

Director of Media and Communications - Emmanuel Chipofya

Emmanuel Chipofya is an inspiring individual born on January 20, 2000. In 2019, he obtained his grade 12 certificate and is currently a fourth-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work at theNational Institute of Public Administration. Emmanuel has dedicated himself to promoting gender equality and fighting against all forms of gender-based violence (GBV). As a gender activist, Emmanuel stands firmly against any manifestations of GBV. He works tirelessly to encourage other male figures to join him in promoting gender equality. Furthermore, Emmanuel serves as the youth coordinator for MenEngage Zambia network on behalf of Bingiza Foundation.
